Position Type: Full-Time
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Overview:

Soliant is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in Waukegan, IL, supporting elementary and middle school students. As a full-time member of our school community, you will play a critical role in addressing the emotional, behavioral, and social needs of students while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work closely with students, families, and educators to ensure every child receives the social-emotional support they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, focusing on issues such as anxiety, trauma, social skills, and behavioral concerns.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to identify students' needs and develop strategies to promote their well-being and academic success.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide crisis intervention services and respond to student emergencies as needed.
  • Conduct assessments of students' emotional and social needs, and create personalized support plans.
  • Educate and advocate for mental health awareness and wellness within the school community.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution, coping skills development, and positive behavior reinforcement.
  • Work with parents/guardians to provide support and guidance on managing challenges at home and at school.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Active Social Work licensure in Illinois (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with elementary or middle school-aged children.
  • Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and best practices in school-based social work.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards of practice.
  • Passion for working with children and a strong commitment to student success.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a school setting.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive weekly pay: $40 - $52 per hour.
