Looking for an experienced and dedicated National Director of Safety to oversee the safety programs, policies, and

initiatives for our growing manufacturing organization across multiple locations. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety standards, compliance, and best practices for EHS. The director will ensure risk management practices are followed at all times, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, customers, and the public. This professional will also be instrumental in fostering our culture of safety first while implementing proactive safety strategies in production facilities in: TN, OK, AZ and OR. This role is onsite in Glendale AZ and requires regular travel to all sites monthly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of the national safety strategy, ensuring alignment with best practices, organizational goals and priorities.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive safety management system across all facilities and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, DOT, and industry-specific standards.
  • Develop and oversee safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required, ensuring all safety violations and incidents are documented and addressed.
  • Lead the development and implementation of training programs to ensure that all employees understand and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Analyze incident data to identify trends and implement proactive measures to reduce incidents and injuries.

  • Foster a safety-first culture within the organization by promoting employee engagement and open communication regarding safety concerns.
  • Partner with human resources and other departments to promote a culture of accountability around safety standards.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in safety management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and risk management practices.
  • Experience with incident investigation, accident analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
