The College of Pharmacy's Clinical Affairs and Outreach Admin Office is seeking an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist I in Montgomery, AL. This role focuses on providing medication therapy management, customer focused pharmaceutical care, and oversees the efficient dispensing, processing and recording of prescriptions and other health services, on and off campus, to ensure optimal clinical and economic outcomes of medication use.

Essential Functions
- Provides medication therapy management consultation and other pharmaceutical care services in a manner that facilitates the achievement of both a high level of customer satisfaction and the attainment of organizational care and service initiatives.
- Reviews prescribed medications and dosages to ensure that therapy is safe and effective for the patient's condition.
- Reviews, corrects and fills prescriptions, and oversees prescriptions prepared by technicians and students.
- Provides pharmaceutical care outreach to targeted clients and groups in the community and state. -Contributes to the education mission of the Health Services Unit.
- Participates in Health Services initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- PharmD degree
- 1 year experience in pharmacy practice
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Federal and State guidelines and laws related to the practice of pharmacy in the state of Alabama
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strict adherence to patient privacy laws (HIPAA)
Minimum Technology Skills
- General office equipment; electronic medical record, medical testing and monitoring equipment (glucometer; stethoscope, etc)
Minimum License and Certifications
- Licensed pharmacist or eligible for licensure in the state of Alabama;

- Experience in Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
- Board certified in Ambulatory Care or Pharmacotherapy
- PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
