Summary:

We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Vice President of Sales and Marketing to build a repeatable sales system that drives warm leads and turns them into long-term customers. This role will lead the implementation of CRM-based workflows, Sandler-style selling strategies, and a targeted content marketing engine-all designed to fuel sustainable revenue growth. Supervisory Responsibility:

This position directly supervises the Sales and Marketing functions of our business

Essential Job Functions:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Implement Sandler Sales methodologies to create a repeatable and scalable sales process

Develop a proactive sales prospecting strategy to land new large customers and diversify the client base.

Collaborate with the Sales Manager to implement CRM-based workflows (HubSpot, Acumatica CRM) that guide sales activities and enhance pipeline visibility

Marketing Strategy & Lead Generation:

Direct marketing toward leveraging brand recognition and CRM data to generate qualified leads

Develop CRM-driven campaigns (email sequences, targeted content) to move warm leads through the funnel

Use SEO and digital outreach selectively, focusing on intent-based marketing

Create case studies, testimonials, and educational materials that support sales conversations

Sales Team Development & Enablement:

Recruit, train, and coach reps on structured prospecting, lead nurturing, and closing

Establish performance metrics and sales core processes

Partner with leadership to incentivize behaviors that drive long-term value

Customer Relationship Management:

Oversee CRM improvements that automate nurturing and forecasting

Monitor customer relationship health to drive retention and repeat sales

Performance Metrics & Market Analysis:

Define KPIs that measure prospecting, nurturing, and conversion effectiveness

Monitor pipeline velocity and sales efficiency to optimize lead follow-up and closing rates.

Refine strategies based on analytics and trends

Sales & CRM Expertise: Proficient with platforms like Acumatica and HubSpot to manage pipelines, coach performance, and drive automation

Structured Selling Methodologies: Experience with Sandler or comparable systems to build consistent, scalable sales processes

Data-Driven Decision Making: Uses analytics, KPIs, and CRM insights to inform actions and continuously improve performance

Brand & Content Strategy Leadership: Capable of crafting and leveraging marketing content to drive awareness, lead generation, and sales enablement

Strategic Agility: Able to balance near-term execution with long-term strategic planning, adjusting quickly to market and customer shifts

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works effectively with operations, engineering, and dealership teams to align sales goals with overall company performance

Customer Relationship Builder: Able to earn trust across fleets, municipalities, and owner-operators alike-especially with repeat customers and large accounts

Aftermarket & Lifecycle Mindset: Understands the full customer journey, from truck build to aftermarket parts and service-integrating this into sales and marketing strategies

Physical Demands:

Primarily sedentary work involving long periods of sitting, speaking, and using standard office equipment

Occasional walking, standing, and lifting of items up to 25 lbs (eg, briefcases, laptops, marketing materials during travel or events)

Visual clarity (20"-20' distance), color, depth perception, field of vision

Must be able to travel by car, commercial airline, or other means as needed, including occasional walking in manufacturing or customer settings

Safety:

Follow policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety Manual

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required

10+ years' experience in sales management

5+ years' experience using CRM software

Familiarity with specifications and configurations of various heavy duty truck manufacturers (eg, Kenworth, Western Star, Freightliner, and Peterbilt)

Special Conditions of Employment:

Willingness and ability to obtain a US Passport within 90 days of hire, and travel internationally when necessary

Up to 50% travel

Residence within Des Moines metro required
