The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for complex projects. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:

The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for complex projects. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:
- Help with technical DB design
- Develop new COBOL modules to process rebate checks
- Modify existing programs to apply user requested enhancements
- Help analyze defects and incident tickets and provide solutions
- Help in check creation and annual cycle processing activities and integration testing.
- Developing technical design documents and program specifications.
- Guiding requirements gathering sessions.
- Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work.
- Coding, and performing unit and integration tests of programming
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months experience with COBOL programming in an IBM Mainframe Environment
- 84 months experience with IBM DB2 working with complex databases architecture
- 84 months experience with TSO (Terminal Sharing Option) in a mainframe environment
- 84 months experience with IBM MVS JCL (Job Control Language) in a mainframe environment
- 84 months experience with IBM MQ-Series
- 84 months experience with CICS (Customer Information Control System) in a mainframe environment
- 84 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems
- 84 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Physical office location: Harriman Campus Bldg. 8, Albany, NY, 12227
- Telecommuting options: 40% remote each 2-week period after minimum of 4-month on-site
