VP, CREATIVE DIRECTOR, COPY
Creative Department
Reports to: SVP, Group Creative Director or Chief Creative Officer
Job Summary
The VP, Creative Director, Copy is an expert in their copy, able to successfully lead both disciplines, and well-versed in all other agency functions. They develop and maximize team talent to produce the highest-quality work; critically evaluate that work; and maintain accountability for the quality, strategy, and integrity of all creative deliverables. Additionally, the VP, Creative Director, Copy embodies the Calcium+Company core values of commitment, integrity, and respect, both in their work and in their relationships with their co-workers and external clients.

Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
- Successfully manages teams (art, copy, or both when necessary)
- Co-leads (with art/copy partner) creative teams on a brand-by-brand basis
- Is a source for ideas and inspiration, and as a strategic leader, by all team members agency-wide
- Troubleshoots complex creative issues
- Leverages high level of knowledge regarding industry trends/technology
- Helps clients understand and internalize criteria by which creative product is assessed
- Spearheads client presentations and consistently over-delivers
- Is an expert at talent-to-task allocation
- Uses persuasive presentation skills that reflect a high level of knowledge of creative and brand strategy
- Provides client and agency with strategic and creative guidance
- Closely monitors financial impact to business of staffing, changes in client budgets, and clients' financial expectations and maintains creative profitability on assigned accounts
- Highly sensitive to opportunities for cultivating existing and additional client business
- Identifies freelance resources and works with resourcing to pull in freelancers as necessary
- Manages all personnel issues related to the creative team
- Uses good judgment in hiring and separation decisions
- Creates opportunities for professional growth of all team members; consistently provides feedback on performance and creative work of team
- Contributes to new business
- Implements agency policies and procedures
Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements)
- 9+ years of agency experience
- Strong presentation skills
- Brand/market/agency knowledge
- Strategic and tactical planning/ideation
- Medical-regulatory-legal navigation
- Financial responsibility
- Interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work within appropriate software programs:
