Product Designer (Mid-Senior)

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing team at Leland. This person will be our second full-time designer and will play a pivotal role in leading the design of comprehensive product areas. You will have the opportunity to work closely with every part of the business to ship great products, and make a real impact for our customers. You'll also have the opportunity to shape Leland's brand and content voice, build a high-performing team, and scale our media presence.
What you'll be doing:

You will develop and implement user-centric design strategies that align with Leland's business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of user experience principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver innovative and effective design solutions.

• Lead the design process for significant product areas from concept to implementation
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
• Help develop & maintain Leland's design system to ensure consistency
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders

Your qualifications:

• 4-8 years of experience in digital product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in leading design projects from concept to launch
• Strong skills in visual design, layout, and hierarchy
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating design decisions and rationale clearly
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and guide junior designers
