- Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) provides health insurance options to Samaritan employees, community employers, and Medicare and Medicaid members. SHP operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunityHealth Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services' self-funded employee health benefit plan.
As part of an Integrated Delivery System, Samaritan Health Plans is strategically and operationally aligned with Samaritan Health Services' mission of Building Healthier Communities Together.
This is a hybrid position that will consist of onsite work in Corvallis at least 2-3 times a month. - JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Provides clinical expertise and program oversight while serving as a leader in behavioral health strategy, operations, and transformation. Ensures behavioral health initiatives align with organizational goals, health equity principles, and the evolving needs of members and communities. Leads the development and implementation of behavioral health strategies, integrating efforts across departments and deploying resources effectively to achieve collective outcomes. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, manages key partnerships, and represents the organization as a behavioral health leader and subject matter expert.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- One (1) of the following required:
- Clinical Psych D or Psychiatrist MD/DO degree and current unencumbered Oregon license.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in State of Oregon.
- Five (5) years experience in a behavioral health setting required.
- Two (2) years leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with program development required.
- Experience or training in the following required:
- Behavioral Health management, utilization management, case management, and managed care.
- Computer applications.
- Data analysis, problem-solving processes, and communication strategies.
- Advanced substance use disorder certification (CADC II/III) and knowledge of co-occurring disorders preferred.
- Previous health plan and CCO experience preferred.
- Experience working with Oregon Medicaid and/or OHP behavior health benefits preferred.
