SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate Principal will provide strategic school leadership and operational oversight by collaborating with the Principal on daily operations and long-term strategic planning. The role also involves overseeing the development of the master schedule, managing state-mandated student assessment programs, partnering with the District Office to support PowerSchool implementation, usage, and data integrity. Actively participate in district-level initiatives and committees as assigned.

As an instructional leader, the Associate Principal will participate in the implementation of the School Improvement Plan and support curriculum development aligned with district goals. They will provide supervision and guidance to Department Chairs to enhance instructional practices, directly oversee Blended Learning initiatives and Academies to support personalized, future-ready learning experiences, and foster high-functioning Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Managing the Dual Credit Partnership with McHenry County College and Seal of Biliteracy programs, and guiding the selection and integration of educational resources, including textbooks, assessment platforms, Schoology, and other instructional tools to enhance teaching and learning.

Comprehensive student support and conduct are paramount, requiring the Associate Principal to establish and enforce high standards of student conduct through proactive leadership. They will oversee the Academic MTSS program to address diverse student needs and provide guidance and support to students on academic, personal, and career-related matters.

Finally, the Associate Principal will play a vital role in effective staff development by participating in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff. They will lead the planning and oversight of staff professional development, including direct supervision of the instructional coaching team, and collaborate with the Principal to design and facilitate professional development opportunities that foster staff capacity and instructional innovation.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: Searching for a collaborative leader with proven instructional leadership, team building and facilitation of student and staff growth skills, a strong background in technology, and student discipline. Excellent communication skills with students, staff, families, and community partners. Appropriate valid Illinois PEL with administrator endorsement (PRIN or GA) is required.
