Registered Nurse

DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Director or Administrator, the Nurse will be responsible for planning and coordinating medical services for consumers including: nursing assessments, medication administration, staff training, and all activities associated with Home and Community Based Waiver Nursing Oversight and Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ICF/IDD)

The Nurse will perform the following essential responsibilities:

• Provide Nursing Oversight and Care Management services for adults with medical and behavioral conditions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Provide companywide staff training in addition to consumer specific training to staff providing supports.
• Conduct nursing assessments to include initial screenings, quarterly and annual reviews, and other assessments as requested or required by Regulations, Rules and Standards.
• Consult with and provide support to staff in times of medical crisis or change in health
• Attend meetings, participate in individual teams, participate in committees and planning events, and submit reports as scheduled or requested.
• Maintain ongoing communication with recipients, guardians, program managers, outside providers and state
• Recommend and develop program procedures, which pertain to the provision of health-related support services and nursing
• Follow health and safety

HOURS OF WORK: Full-Time 40 hours per week

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:
• Experience and Skills: Registered Nurse, time management, organizational skills, and basic computer skills are required for success in this Skills to organize evaluate and present information effectively, both orally and in writing, are necessary.
• Licensure, Certification, Registrations and pre-hire requirements: A current TB test, valid New Mexico Nursing Licenses, New Mexico driver's license, and proof of automobile insurance must be submitted prior to Successful candidates must submit to a criminal background check as required by state regulation which includes providing one clear fingerprint card before hire. Candidate must also provide three verifiable references.

PAY: Up to $48.00 an hour, Depending on Experience.
