Job Summary

Develop, direct, and coordinate the pricing activities for Automotive & Industrial commercial personnel in the selling of services and materials.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with Commercial representatives to identify supply chain elements needed to fulfill customer quotations.
  • Works with internal manufacturing locations and external service providers to assess feasibility and capacity for needed services.
  • Manages and solicits vendor quotations that utilize appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
  • Utilizes existing tools to develop and deploy straightforward, accurate, and secure pricing that accurately projects critical financial metrics.
  • Consolidates, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to pricing for all Automotive & Industrial market-related quote solicitations.
  • Develops system to easily and consistently identify applicable notes, exceptions, caveats, and assumptions.
  • Develop and utilize a quote tracking mechanism and issue reports with relevant KPI's to the commercial team.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to refine pricing mechanisms to accurately estimate cost/pricing that is in line with operational capabilities.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in the metal service center industry with a focus on materials management, purchasing, supply chain, or sales
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
  • An ideal candidate will possess flow path understanding of sheet metal component manufacturing
  • Knowledge and understanding of the flat-rolled metals market, including carbon and aluminum material specification designations
  • Experience with developing/managing pricing
  • Superior Excel skills
  • Working financial management skills
