A unique and challenging career opportunity for Nurse Director of Operating Room Perioperative Services is now available for a progressive acute care hospital in beautiful, coastal and warm Southern California!
The Nurse Director of Operating Room Surgical Services will work in a technologically savvy and advanced medical center that has been serving surrounding community for over 70 years. The Operating Room Surgery Nurse Director will be part of a hospital with comprehensive surgical services that received national recognition for performance, quality and teamwork.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director of Operating Room Perioperative Services will manage a busy and fast paced department with 13 OR suites while supported by Nurse Manager of Operating Room, Nurse Manager of PACU, Manager of Central Sterile Processing, Charge Nurses and over 100 highly skilled and tenured staff members. The Operating Room department sees almost 10,000 cases per year with complex cases being performed.
The Nurse Director of Operating Room Perioperative Services will have twenty four hour responsibility and accountability for the safe and efficient operations of all aspects of the Perioperative Services including the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Ambulatory and endoscopy departments.
The Nurse Director of Operating Room Surgery will be responsible for space planning, hiring, supervising and development of all levels of staff including assuring competence. The Surgical Services Operating Room Nurse Director will be responsible for development and adherence to departmental standards utilizing AORN and other professional organizations' as guidance for evidence based practice.
