By collaborating closely with the Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Associate Chief Nursing Officer of Ambulatory Care plays a key leadership role in supporting the Mission, Vision, Values, and Philosophy of Emerson Hospital Department of Nursing/Patient Care Services. Through the demonstration of excellent leadership and communication skills, the person in this role actively participates in the Department of Nursing/Patient Care Service's efforts to achieve the highest level of Quality Care and Service Excellence in an environment of professionalism, respect, teamwork and trust. The Associate Chief Nursing Officer will be responsible for overall leadership of Ambulatory services including leading Nurse Managers in the following departments: Emergency Department, Interventional Radiology, Acute Endoscopy, Community and Oncology Infusion Center, and Ambulatory Wound Care Center. The Associate Chief Nursing Officer reports to the Vice President of Patient Care Services/CNO.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- BS in Nursing required.
- Masters in Nursing or related area preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of ten years Acute Care experience in a leadership position with a minimum of five years progressive nursing leadership experience at the Director/Senior Director level required.
- Licensure and/or Certification:
- Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
- National certification in Nursing Administration is preferred.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to function independently in an environment of teamwork, respect, trust and collaboration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated high-level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Experience with, and a commitment to, a professional practice culture of accountability focused on excellent performance in customer service, patient satisfaction and patient safety
- Demonstrated ability to develop an effective leadership team; to mentor and coach front-line managers/directors and to delegate appropriately to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- An effective communicator exemplified by timely follow-up, meeting participation, effective negotiating skills, the ability to summarize and frame issues, discussion, conclusions, and develop effective communication plans
- Strong executive operations leader who is comfortable and willing to share decision-making with colleagues and staff
