SUMMARY

Responsible for improving overall efficiencies in the Manufacturing Operations by utilizing Total Quality Management principles and philosophies as the core methodology guiding continuous improvement of all processes, people, products, and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following
  • Developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes from inception to start-up and certification.
  • Continually improving all processes involved with the operations.
  • Assessing processes, taking measurements, and interpreting data.
  • Designing, running, testing, and upgrading systems and processes.
  • Work with production managers to assess existing processes and develop and implement improvements to efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drafting, developing, and implementing process improvement ideas to reduce cost and improve production rates/efficiencies.
  • Perform risk assessments.
  • Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues.
  • Perform optimization tests.
  • Coordinating site operations, solving problems, improving the schedule of workflows, and efficiencies, supervising employees, and assuring safety guidelines are followed.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance, inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure process and quality specifications are met.
  • Collaborating with operations managers and quality department staff to develop and implement improvements.
  • Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
  • Conducts internal & external audits.
  • Assists with Supply Chain Performance and evaluation program.
  • Assists in investigating and performing root cause problem-solving analysis.
  • Assists with the In-house training programs.
  • Assists with safety programs;
  • Assists with new product projects;
  • Assist in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and manufacturing plans;
  • Draws product component and process diagrams as needed.
  • Assists in the performance of First Article Inspections
  • Aid in new company endeavors by providing engineering support.
  • Travel between facilities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position may require supervision of individuals involved in process improvement efforts and/or Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial), with related experience in process improvement methodologies and related experience in training others. Aerospace experience preferred. Experience with AS9100 preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain a Repairman Certificate (per FAR Part 65.101).

Salary Range

$97,000-$151,000 USD
