In this role, you will partner with the Google Data Center developing teams, hardware operations, network infrastructure, and third-party data center vendors and operators with a focus on operability, maintainability, and reliability.

From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$189,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls experience in an industrial/commercial environment.
- 5 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance and in engineering.
- Experience communicating with all levels of the organization, including executives.
- Ability to forecast resource requirements in a data-driven way.

Responsibilities
- Drive efforts to test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for equipment operation.
- Lead efforts to perform compliance activities for a data center and analyze compliance results for data centers globally, and ensure regional and global teams are complying with project/schedule guidelines and Google design standards.
- Drive efforts to monitor data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and to ensure response to any excursions.
- Drive efforts to ensure sites are following facility, maintenance, and standard programs while exhibiting strength in improvement to policies and programs.
- Lead the development of strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, along with driving site-level development of programs and initiatives.
