Support CMOS imaging technology development through detailed scientific characterization; responsible for complete electrical and optical characterization of various CMOS image sensors; guide pixel layout/process design for next generation CMOS sensors by characterizing performance of various experimental layouts and process conditions; work with process integration/layout design and process simulation team to characterize new designs/process and suggest new process experiments based on characterization data; act as primary feedback source to various inter-disciplinary teams for silicon data on various pixel designs and process designs; work with test engineering team to develop automated water-level characterization programs; work with production and QA teams to solve yield issues related to pixel performance; Innovate and Improve Processes: Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve existing characterization methodologies and processes; Stay updated with the latest advancements in CMOS technology and integrate relevant findings into your work; Document and Report Findings: Maintain detailed documentation of characterization procedures, results, and analyses. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and support ongoing development efforts; Ensure Compliance and Best Practices: Adhere to industry standards, best practices, and company policies in all characterization activities. Ensure that all work is conducted with the highest levels of accuracy, integrity, and safety.
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optoelectronics Engineering, or related fields and two (2) years of experience in CMOS circuits.
Must possess the following skills/experience:
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $ 151,091- $155,000.
Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.

- Research and development with semiconductor devices;
- Characterization, design and fabrication of semiconductor devices and circuits;
- Programming using in Linux/Python/MATLAB;
- Experience in Layout/Simulation tools such as Cadence and TCAD;
- Experience in Analog/Digital CMOS circuits, CMOS fabrication process, and CMOS device physics.
