Position Summary:

Mission Bank is seeking a Manager of Organizational Excellence to join our team! The Manager of Organizational Excellence will be responsible for reviewing and recommending strategies to enhance the efficiency, productivity, and overall performance of our frontline operations and sales. The Manager of Organizational Excellence will act as a liaison between the frontline sales team and the central operations, treasury management, and BSA departments in order to facilitate customer account, transactional, and system issues. The Manager of Organizational Excellence will collaborate with various departments to identify areas for improvement, develop innovative solutions, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. This position requires strong communication, relationship management, leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of organizational dynamics.

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Act as a liaison between the frontline and the Back Office, facilitating effective communication, addressing operational challenges, and streamlining processes with COD, BSA, and Treasury.
  • Provide guidance and support to Regional Presidents, Business Banker Leads, Relationship Managers, and Business Bankers in implementing process improvements and best practices.
  • Participate on the interview team for all business bankers, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates who align with the organization's values and standards.
  • Own and enhance the Business Banker Playbook.
  • Contribute to the development of the BBDP (Business Banker Development Program), designing training programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of Business Bankers.
  • Serve as a liaison and trainer for the PMD program, ensuring effective implementation and ongoing support to bankers.
  • Assist in opening new regions and banking centers, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful onboarding of Business Bankers and Operations functions.
  • Monitor Business Banker activity, including conducting regular reviews of the Operations Procedure Manual, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and business model. Activity review to include but not limited to:
    • Addressing CIP (Customer Identification Program) exceptions
    • BBC certifications
    • Fraud exceptions and investigations
    • QC (Quality Control) reviews
    • PMD activity
    • REA list monitoring.
  • Act as the buddy banker to all new business bankers
  • Act as a representative on bank-wide projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of initiatives.
  • Participate in product pricing committee and support recommending new products and services synergistic with the business banking model.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure the impact of implemented changes and initiatives and adjust as necessary.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to organizational excellence, and apply relevant knowledge to drive innovation.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Human Capital department to develop and deliver training programs to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee performance.
  • Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources related to organizational excellence initiatives.

  • Experience and Skills
    Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
    • Proven experience in organizational development, process improvement, or a related role.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive decision-making.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading teams and driving change.
    • Proficiency in using productivity and project management tools/software.
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.

    Target Compensation: $130,000 annually, depending on experience.
