JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Controller will interact across general accounting, accounts payables, financial reporting and financial planning and analysis. This individual will be responsible for the integrity of the accounting policy and financial reporting of the organization. This role will require strong interpersonal skills and a proven history of interfacing with executive level management.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead and mentor 2-4 direct reports responsible in general accounting and accounts payables teams
Assist with ERP (NetSuite) implementation project
Responsible for timely and accurate internal monthly reporting requirements and budget vs. actual analysis.
Responsible for reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries/transactions ensuring the entries are accurate, complete and in adherence with SOX compliance
Ownership of SOX controls for applicable general accounting processes
Responsible for reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for applicable areas and creating checks and analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the reconciliations
Manage the month-end accounting close process, including consolidation of stand-alone entities, cash and bank reconciliations, customer acquisition costs, fixed assets, equity, prepaid, and general and administrative costs
Multi-task accounting for a portfolio of companies owned by a common shareholder
Prepare quarterly and year-end financials with footnote support and documentation in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements
Accountable for the preparation of the monthly compliance certificate for bank financial covenants
Conduct research on complex corporate tax accounting issues to meet external reporting requirements, including the implementation of recently issued tax accounting pronouncements
Interact with external auditors and oversee all aspects of the annual audit
Research any new developments from the SEC and FASB, determine the applicability, and if needed, document the implementation strategy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
CPA license, in good standing, required
10 years of public/private accounting experience
Knowledge of NetSuite required
Knowledge of OneStream preferred.
Understanding of SEC filings and a strong foundation in US GAAP
Knowledgeable with Excel, variance analysis, trend analysis, and general ledger
Solid management or supervisory background
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong reconciliation and controls-oriented process with understanding of the data flow between IT systems
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement
Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
