Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled UHF Receiver Support Engineer to contribute to the development and testing of the UHF Receiver subsystem for the Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) satellite program through Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR). This role focuses on supporting the EPC (Electronic Power Conditioner) portion of the UHF receiver, drawing on heritage design and leveraging deep experience in RF systems and ECAD tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis
  • Adapt legacy UHF Receiver designs from previous GOES spacecraft to fit current system requirements.
  • Provide expert support on the EPC portion of the receiver design, with a strong preference for candidates with heritage EPC or extensive EPC experience.

Testing
  • Develop comprehensive test procedures to validate receiver performance across launch, orbital, and operational phases.
  • Participate in unit-level testing, integration activities, and support full campaign test execution.

Internal Execution Support
  • Coordinate and develop plans for hardware/software integration of the UHF Receiver with other spacecraft systems to ensure seamless operation and compliance.

ECAD and Layout Support
  • Collaborate with the internal ECAD team using Expedition software to translate schematics into accurate PCB layouts.

RF Actives & Passives Expertise
  • Apply knowledge of RF active and passive components to assist with surge tasks, specification reviews, and early-phase subcontracting support.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in RF systems, EPC design, or UHF receiver development.
  • Proven experience with Expedition ECAD tools.
  • Familiarity with satellite communication systems and spaceborne electronics testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience with GOES or similar spacecraft programs.
  • Experience supporting large-scale system integration for space systems.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
