Job Summary

The Pediatric Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse is a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required; a Master of Science in Nursing or other healthcare related Master's degree is preferred, as well as a certification in specialty (ex. TNCC). Candidate must hold and maintain a Kentucky Nursing License as a Registered Nurse and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. A minimum of three years of trauma nursing experience (ICU, ED, Flight) is required and experience in quality improvement and research is preferred. Candidate must show evidence of clinical expertise in the practice of trauma/critical care; must be self-directed, present information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form; have a demonstrated ability to work positively in collaboration with all healthcare disciplines and departments; and possess strong computer skills, including knowledge of word processing, database management, spreadsheet development, report writing, and statistical and graphical software.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
