Job Description
Job Title: Special Procedures Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Imaging/Interventional Radiology

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Varies - Monday to Friday, 4 x 10 hours. Call is required 2-3 shifts a month depending on staffing. Occasional Saturday shift required.

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty

License: Registered Nurse

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Must-Have:
- Nursing Prep/Recovery experience in Interventional Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Fluoroscopy

Job Description:
- Assist with preparation and recovery of patients undergoing special procedures in various imaging departments.
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the safe and efficient performance of radiological procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Support patient and family education regarding procedures and care expectations.
- Participate in on-call rotation and occasional Saturday shifts to ensure coverage for emergency procedures.
