Pay: $120,000 - $130,000

Job Summary:

The position involves managing the implementation and maintenance of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing support for software and hardware issues. The role requires coordination with various teams and vendors, project management for installations, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize workflows within a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the flow of information from the Lab instrumentation to the Laboratory
    Information System and ensures patient data accurately posts to the Electronic
    Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Assist with the implementation of all new lab analyzers and configures corresponding LIS interfaces as required.
  • Implement all aspects of system requirements, including policy and procedure documentation and test plans.
  • Provide daily support and troubleshooting for test and production hardware, software, and operations issues.
  • Assess reporting needs and ensure report generation meets departmental requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors and IT teams for integration of network configurations and system servers.
  • Assist with the development and installation of software upgrades from evaluation to acceptance.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related concentration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • 5+ years experience preferred
  • 3+ years experience with Meditech LIS 6.0 or higher preferred
  • MT (ASCP) preferred
