About The Position

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will work directly with the executive team to oversee the successful execution of classified DoD related work. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing DoD or space programs or demonstrate strong aptitude for learning within this high-stakes environment. This role will involve detailed tracking of labor, headcount, timelines, and customer interactions. The candidate will work across various teams to ensure seamless execution of the program and maintain adherence to DoD requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a classified DoD space program, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budget.
  • Strong prior technical project/program management background with the ability to understand and work with cross functional technical leadership to project completion.
  • Manage program resources including labor planning, headcount tracking, and cost forecasting.
  • Ensure strict compliance with DoD regulations and security protocols, maintaining all necessary clearances and approvals for classified work.
  • Track and manage program financials, ensuring budget adherence and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed project updates, reports, and briefings for internal leadership and external DoD customers.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear and consistent communication on program status, risks, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance) to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Proactively identify program risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the program stays on track.
  • Assist in contract management, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and maintaining compliance with DoD-specific requirements.
  • Support ongoing DoD audits, reviews, and quality assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance program efficiency and overall mission success.


Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required. Prior TS/SCI will be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the DoD or aerospace sector.
  • Cross functional technical acumen with prior experience working with multiple sub team disciplines in the design, development and delivery of space/DOD based programs
  • Experience managing or working on classified DoD space programs is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, program management standards, and security protocols.
  • Proven ability to manage program budgets, resources, and deliverables while working under strict timelines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
