SUMMARY

A National Sales Executive with Foster Fuels Mission Critical will focus on business development and contract execution with new customers found in the critical environments arena (data centers, hospital networks, pharmaceutical manufacturers, etc). In this role, an individual must excel at prospecting, relationship building, sales cycle management, and contract negotiations/execution. The day-to-day goal is to identify and secure ongoing business opportunities for a new customers routine fueling, emergency/guaranteed fueling, and fuel quality services throughout their multi-site portfolio. The majority of customers today have multiple site locations across the US, ranging from 1 to 5 sites, to 20 or more. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the National Sales Executive will continually be supported by leadership, marketing, customer service representatives, and the sales team as a whole to ensure their success.

DUTIES

Sales Strategy & Execution:
  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to expand customer base and drive revenue growth within the critical environments arena.
  • Continually identify and pursue potential customers and new business opportunities across the US.
  • Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline for national-level contracts.
  • Partner with in-house legal team to successfully negotiate and execute new multi-year agreements.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Regularly meet with clients (in-person, via phone, or virtually) to understand their current and evolving needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns promptly and successfully.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction to build loyalty and generate repeat business.

Collaboration & Teamwork:
  • Work closely with the Director of Business Development and marketing to create and push forward new sales strategies.
  • Work closely with fellow National Sales Executive(s) and National Fuel Consultants to provide exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with marketing and the entire sales team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across the US.
  • Openly share insights and best practices with fellow team members to drive collective success.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the market.
  • Provide feedback on market conditions, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to help shape service and product offerings.

Emergency Fueling/Activation Support:
  • Participate in a quarterly on-call rotation to ensure customers have 24/7/365 access to emergency fuel across the US.
  • Assist the Mission Critical operations team as requested and directed during emergency fueling activation(s).
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to the needs and demands of an emergency fueling activation(s).


REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Strong aptitude for prospecting, relationship building, and sales cycle management.

  • Ability to review, comprehend, and provide oversight for complex legal agreements.

  • Ability to independently plan and conduct coordinated site/customer visits across the US.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferably) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • This position will require approximately 25% business travel across the US by both air and automobile.


PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of 3 years of commercial sales experience, preferably in a critical environment industry
  • Knowledge of the fueling industry and/or critical environments arena
  • Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, HVO and/or fuel quality services (testing, additive, fuel polishing)
  • Ability to successfully utilize and maximize Linkedin
