Job Description: As a member of a 24 hr patient access service, the System Flow Coordinator is responsible for patient flow; to facilitate appropriate access to safe patient care. This will include coordination and accountability for decision making with respects to consultation, placement and movement of patients within and outside of tertiary acute care. The System Flow Coordinator will function as an integral member of an acute care team whose collective responsibility will include access to and movement through resources across the continuum, and to other health facilities. The System Flow Coordinator provides access to consultation with physicians, patients, families, nurses and support staff. During off hours the System Flow Coordinator will function as a management representative with respect to problem solving and communication.

Experience
- Intermediate computer skills with experience in excel and word
- 5 years recent experience in a medical, surgical, critical care or ER dept
- Previous coordinator or management experience is preferred
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN)
Other Education and Training
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)
Other Information
- Registered/eligible to be registered with RPNAS (Reg Psych Nurses Assoc of Sask)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
