Description:
Swedish Match North America LLC, a rapidly growing consumer packaged goods (CPG) producer and market leader of well-known smokeless tobacco products, nicotine ZYN pouch products, as well as complementary products, is currently seeking a Retail Operations Manager for our Central Region covering Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
This position is responsible for the leadership of overall strategic retail operations in the Central Region, and to maximize effectiveness of retail coverage, distribution, and sales efforts of our retail team.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Consumer Packaged Goods
Experience: Minimum five years experience in non-durable consumer goods, including field sales and/or management.
Skills: Persuasive verbal and written communication skills. Accomplished presentation skills. Strong analytical skills. Proficient computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Category Management System, and industry data systems.

The starting salary range for this position is between $125,000 - $166,500 . This position is eligible to receive an annual incentive based on regional performance.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Starting pay will be determined based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. These factors could result in a starting pay that is higher than the salary range listed.

- Manages and provides information to Retail Team Managers in support of company and regional volume merchandising goals, and objectives.
- Ensures strategic account coverage is maintained while selling goals are met in independent and chain retail accounts.
- Monitors and manages coverage patterns of regional personnel to maximize penetration of sales and merchandising efforts by assignment.
- Works in conjunction with Business Development Manager to prioritize and schedule selling efforts and activities of National, Key Accounts and Account Managers.
- Coordinates and manages special event participation, assist in developing retail tie-in programs to maximize exposure in local markets.
- Provides training, development and direction and measures the results of district management personnel using Performance Management Principals & Practices.
- Assist Retail Team Managers in recruiting, interviewing and selection of new Territory Sales Managers in accordance with Company Recruiting and Selection Guidelines & Policies.
- Works with region personnel to evaluate effectiveness and identify training needs and assist Retail Team Managers in developing plans to meet those needs.
- Develops and maintains records needed to manage the operation of the districts and report activities, progress, conditions and needs to Regional Director.
