Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and A/C systems.
- Maintain and monitor fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage and oversee water treatment and purification equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Configure and monitor the automated computerized building management system to optimize system performance.
- Document maintenance activities and write detailed reports outlining findings and actions taken.
- Manage outside contractors for repairs, HVAC balancing, and HEPA filter testing, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with management and other team members to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
- Respond to facility-related emergencies and perform corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a facilities technician in a commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, A/C systems, fire suppression systems, and water treatment equipment.
- Experience managing outside contractors and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with building management systems and automation technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to document activities clearly and write comprehensive reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus (e.g., HVAC certification, fire safety certification).
