The Director, Global Operations Governance in Westerville, OH is responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives and complexity reduction programs in Vertiv. The position will work collaboratively with regional operations excellence and project management office leaders, site leaders, global and central functions and the management teams to create, implement, and enforce the governance around the creation, monitoring, and reporting of key performing indicators on a routine basis. Additionally, operational improvements that focus on improving quality, productivity, labor, and cost saving efficiencies, while focusing on the standardization and global Vertiv operations footprint. This role will serve as a dominion of global standardization and a change agent for developing and encouraging a culture that is driven by safety, discipline, transparency, and accountability through accountability through VOS tool utilization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Managing cross-functional and matrixed teams within organization towards common strategic objectives
  • Manage Project teams to assure project quality and on time delivery
  • Drive standardization, share best practices and provide overall OPS governance Globally working closely with the VOS organization
  • Lead major projects to drive improvement in process metrics, targeted financial benefits, and achieve company goals
  • Provide external benchmarking, industry best practice identification, evaluation, and adoption plans
  • Act as business partner in transactional complexity reduction and provide project management capabilities during new systems deployment and enhancements
  • Assure operational excellence Order Fulfillment (OTC), tools, IT, compliance, process NPDI, EOL, GBU collaboration.
  • Manage to implement a customer focused organization
  • Drive organization and skill development
  • Support and drive layout and productivity improvement
  • Support to improve service level (OTIF, PDSL, RDSL and lead times)
  • Capital planning and control
  • Provide project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting; financial management; change management across the project portfolio.
  • Develop and continually improve the quality of information to help guide future strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior management and project teams on project initiation, requirements, documentation, and implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with global matrixed companies
  • Proven track record in delivering financial benefits from various productivity improvement initiatives
  • Minimum 5-10 years previous experience in continues improvement, project management is similar size companies
  • Keep understanding of business fundamentals in a global manufacturing environment. Functional expertise across multiple business disciplines (i.e. marketing, engineering, sales, etc.)
