Objective of Role:

LaSalle Investment Management is currently seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant on JLL Income Property Trust, Inc. ("JLLIPT"). This individual will serve in a lead role to help manage a significant portion of the accounting and reporting process for multiple Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) - 1031 offerings utilizing Fair Value GAAP and Historical Cost GAAP. This individual will report to the Portfolio Controller.

Accountabilities:
  • Take a lead role in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes for multiple DST-1031 offerings
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Review and record admittance of new investors
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting requirements, as well as tax requirements
  • Coordinate with cash management group to execute cash transactions (investor subscriptions, investor distributions, invoice payment, quarterly fees)
  • Review property management financial statements
  • Quarterly financial analysis, including review of investment accounting information
  • Calculate, analyze and report performance returns
  • Assist in closing the books and records for JLLIPT and the preparation of SEC filings
  • Respond to client inquiries
  • Create efficiency in and effectiveness of the financial reporting process, including effective usage of technology, as well as improve client services
  • Take initiative in identifying problems and providing suggested solutions
  • Take the lead on special projects as assigned


Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of real estate accounting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation is strongly preferred
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to think creatively and to take the lead in solving problems
  • Extremely organized multi-tasker with great attention to detail
  • Team player who works well independently as well as with others
  • Ability to work effectively with off-site managers and clients
  • Strong sense of accountability for quality of own work and the work of the team
  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting concept
  • Must be willing to work extra hours, whether early or late, when necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) and experience with other technology platforms including general ledger systems


Estimated total compensation for this position:

100,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
