Summary

The Pharmacy Services Manager will oversee operations teams including, but not limited to, drug rebate invoicing, collections, claims review, grievance and appeals, or other functions. The manager works with the team supervisors and leads to monitor KPIs, SLAs, productivity metrics, and appropriate staffing levels to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, while guiding process improvement and efficiencies. The manager will also be expected to lead or assist with various projects as needed. You will instill a culture of quality, efficiency, and process improvement, while investing time in staff development.

Your role in our mission
  • Responsible for the hiring, onboarding, and training of new pharmacy operations staff
  • Review and provide feedback to staff on monthly and quarterly operations reports
  • Manage operations staff productivity and performance, including preparation and delivery of staff performance reviews and evaluations
  • Monitor staff attendance and timekeeping for accuracy and compliance with policies
  • Provide coaching and feedback to staff on conduct and performance, and support skills development and professional growth that will lead to improved outcomes
  • Work with operations team leaders to help ensure all monthly and quarterly Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are accurate and completed on time
  • Ensures all pharmacy service policies and procedures are up to date
  • Work with account PBM Manager to complete monthly updates to staff performance metrics
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of operations documentation
  • Develops useful management and client reports
  • Liaise with subject matter experts regarding industry best practices, process improvement and customer service to maintain state-of-the-art operations center
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish operations goals
  • Participate in project work plan tasks and ensures compliance with audit control objectives
  • Assist and/or lead special projects and ad-hoc client requests as required
  • Foster a positive team environment and lead by example


What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of PBM experience
  • 5+ years of managed care or Medicaid experience preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in managing or supervising staff and performing human resource functions
  • Experience utilizing workforce management (WFM) and productivity tools
  • Strong MS Office Suite, Excel, and PDF Editing Software skills
  • Experience with Medicaid pharmacy claims processing, prior authorization, and/or medical billing preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate expectations clearly to the team and provide ongoing direction and feedback.
  • Excellent organizational skills - ability to track and prioritize operational activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong leadership qualities to help with staff training, feedback, and coaching.
  • Remains approachable and can effectively coach staff to performance goals.
  • Ability to multi-task, trouble shoot and prioritize all functions and responsibilities


What you should expect in this role
  • This position is 100% remote, up to 20% travel to support key client meetings.
