You will be Communications Representative Senior for Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, FL

What You Will Be Doing
As the Communications Representative Senior, you will be reporting to the Senior Communications Manager for the Sensors & Global Sustainment line of business. This position will be responsible for developing and executing communications strategies within the Mission Systems portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading external communications efforts that align with business objectives, counseling subject matter experts and program leaders on messaging and tactics, pursuing and creating engaging content for multiple channels, as well as measuring and reporting results for continuous improvement
Planning, developing and executing external communications strategies
Developing program/capture and media engagement communications strategies as required
Developing integrated communication plans for significant program milestones
Responsible for owned media communications associated with sensor programs
Planning, preparing, writing and disseminating information across all external channels and to be leveraged in integrated communications efforts
Submitting photographs; assigns and/or approves artwork
Participating and support advertising campaigns, and/or edit material for organization publications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in related field.

Exceptional communications skills with strong writing and editing ability. Experience in supporting and providing trusted council to senior executives; leading and developing integrated strategic communications efforts across internal and external channels.

Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Able to plan, organize and support media relations, marketing, employee communications, trade show, social media and multimedia activities.

Possesses strong strategic communications instincts, media relations experience and basic multi-platform social media skills.

Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired skills

Experience working in the Public Affairs Office (PAO).
Knowledge of the domestic and international aerospace and defense industries. Existing relationships with industry media outlets. Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and business practices. AP style expertise.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $84,900 - $147,085. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
