About the role

Responsible for leading and managing the Center of Excellence Team for CPNA in North America. This team ensures development and implementation of 'Best in Class's Solutions for CPNA that will drive exceptional customer experience and improve productivity, efficiency & connectivity across the value chain (Plan - Source - Make - Deliver - Quality) creating a competitive advantage for the business. The leader will be responsible for 3 pillars - Manufacturing Excellence, Project Engineering &, Advanced Data Analytics

Create & Drive Value
  • Execution - Deliver and execute Breakthrough Top Initiatives for CPNA from end to end (Ideation - Assessment - Feasibility - Execution). Responsible for idea generation from across CPNA and funnel the ideas to execution. Effectively manage the Capital process
  • Governance- Define standard metrics and update the business leaders along with the extended Operational Team. Provide support and direction on organizational change management.


Build Capabilities
  • Manufacturing Excellence - Utilizing the handbook ME BlueScope Way continuously improve manufacturing processes, systems, and operations to achieve the highest levels of quality, efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
  • Support - Provide skills assessment & develop a capability improvement matrix to that will upskill our maintenance and ops teams. Enabling our workforce to work better, smarter and more productively


Educate, Engage and Empower
  • Best Practices - Continue to benchmark by identifying the latest technologies across the industry. Establish or provide standardized approaches/processes & knowledge centers.
  • Training - Provide e-learning curriculum, classroom training, certification programs. Deliver shared services, policies, training, templates, communications, etc.


Project Management
  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering key projects within time, cost, and quality constraints. Ensured that projects met the objectives set by stakeholders and provided regular progress updates.


Change Management
  • Be a change enabler and effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders across the organization

Education & Experience Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related degree and experience. Masters or MBA preferred
15 or more years experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Quality
15 or more years experience of managing and developing a team
Data driven with attention to detail
Ability to simplify complex tasks through process and standards
Self-Starter with an entrepreneurial approach to business
Strong communication skills
Deep competence and experience W Lean, Six Sigma & Driving cost and optimization projects
Have an executive presence and be able to present and influence key leaders in the business

Salary Range: This position's estimated annual base salary is $161,613.00 - $242,419.00. Actual base salary will be dependent on an individual's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is eligible for 401k Savings plan, Healthcare (medical, dental and vision), and other generous rewards.
