This resulted in $2.4 billion in total gaming revenue from over 45 gaming operators and over 1.6 million active player accounts. In its second year Ontario's igaming market is estimated to have sustained more than 15,000 full-time equivalent jobs across the province. iGaming Ontario is seeking a Manager, Anti-Money Laundering to manage compliance and reporting functions, including overseeing the regulatory reporting division, executing audits with the Senior Manager and supporting the overall development of the AML program at iGaming Ontario.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Anti-Money Laundering you will:
- Oversee the AML regulatory reporting division, including managing the compliance and reporting functions to ensure required tasks are being executed on time.
- Oversee the review of FINTRAC reports to ensure the completeness, consistency and quality of information being reported.
- Ensure high-quality reports are prepared and submitted to FINTRAC within the required deadlines as prescribed by the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and its regulations.
- Under the direction of the Senior Manager, assist with regulatory audits (e.g., effectiveness review, FINTRAC audit).
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures to support the iGaming Ontario AML program.
- Ensure policies and procedures are up to date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Assist with the development and delivery of AML training programs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of formal presentations to internal and external stakeholders in order to explain iGaming Ontario's AML program functions and requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in relation to the AML program.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and engagement between the iGaming Ontario AML Unit and the igaming operators with a focus on building strong operational relationships that ensure the operator's and iGaming Ontario comply with AML regulatory requirements.
- Lead the AML team in staying actively abreast of regulatory expectations and global industry standards with respect to gaming.
- Ensure employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities within the program
- Establish performance plans for staff, evaluate performance and identify areas requiring improvement and training.
- Manage staff and team members through ongoing feedback, direction and coaching.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in law, finance, criminology, business administration, statistics, audit, etc. combined with 5+ years of related management experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Expert knowledge of the federal Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and associated regulations and FINTRAC reporting requirements.
- Expert knowledge in interpreting and applying legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of how money laundering techniques can be used in the gaming industry.
- Knowledge of government (e.g., FINTRAC, AGCO) and crown agency reporting relationships and accountabilities.
- Familiarity with the gaming industry including knowledge of casino gambling and sports wagering is an asset.
- Superior knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of computer databases/programs and office technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Excellent organizational skills to coordinate and ensure priorities are established and deadlines are met.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective service delivery and to develop and maintain productive team and peer relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership together with a strong work ethic necessary to succeed in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and critically.
- ACAMS designation is an asset.
