Department Overview

PG&E's Corporate Real Estate Strategy and Services (CRESS) organization is responsible for governing, planning, acquiring, designing constructing, operating and maintaining 7.7 million square feet (sq. ft.) of facilities throughout PG&E's 72,000 square mile service territory. These facilities include but are not limited to: service centers, data centers, contact centers, office buildings, shops, warehouses, construction and equipment yards, vehicle maintenance garages, Customer Service Offices (CSO), and meeting and training facilities.

Position Summary

Oversees the management, operations, and financial performance of building operations, ongoing maintenance and repair of buildings, mechanical/electrical systems, equipment and grounds keeping, and for the provision of a safe working environment. Provides operational delivery and management support of facility services. Directs the operations of the General Office Operations, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and other facility operations. Oversees the asset management and maintenance of PG&E buildings.

Job Responsibilities
  • Approves financial and compliance requirements timely and accurately, ensures operations conducted within budget, financial forecasts are accurate and timely.
  • Assists with process and quality improvement initiatives of maintenance and repair procedures, workflow, quality control, and timeliness.
  • Ensures staff and service providers are proactive in approach. Builds and maintains client relations for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensures successful outcomes of the facilities operations program including customer satisfaction, quality and cost objectives.
  • For occupied locations, ensures facilities are available as needed by the business, reliable, and workers have a safe and productive environment in which to work.
  • Maximizes value creation through flawless execution of facility management basics (On-time on-budget PM, on-time on-budget service request completion) with a focus on cost containment, optimal equipment utilization, quality maintenance, repair, and installation workflow, maximum vendor and labor productivity.
  • Operates in compliance with regulatory, company and departmental guidance.
  • Plans, oversees, monitors, and implements compliance, training and, preventative maintenance (PM) programs including the coordination of vendors and other service providers in conjunction with staff to perform required activities.
  • Responsible for facility maintenance and asset management for assigned locations.
  • Responsible for the supervision, planning, and scheduling of personnel for shifts, workflow, service calls, and repair assignments.


PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

California Minimum: $112,000

California Maximum: $179,000

Bay Area Minimum: $118,000

Bay Area Maximum: $188,000

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • 5 years job-related experience
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent

Desired:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Leadership experience, union-represented employees
  • Experience in facilities operations and systems management
  • Experience in corporate real estate, or related
  • 6 years job-related experience
  • Experience in construction management
  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • SFP-Sustainability Facility Professional Certification
  • LEED-Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation
  • FMP-Facility Management Professional certification
  • CFM-Certified Facility Manager certification
