Position Summary:
Command Cyber Solutions (a federal government contractor) is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager capable of leading a highly talented team on daily IT operations and project progress. The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, management and execution of projects that comprise an Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). This objective is to provide a wide range of IT business solutions to its customers, providing secure, reliable, and highly available IT business solutions to fulfill program requirements, serving a few thousand end-users located within the Washington, DC area. The Project Manager will deliver effective enterprise-level management support and services which provide the Government customer the resources needed to achieve its operational objectives. The qualified candidate must be capable of performing management duties that cover the scope of this job description whenever needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The PM shall be responsible for the performance of work performed under their designated Task Orders
Support project planning and management, milestone status tracking and reviews, risks, and issue identification, tracking and resolution and participation in program and release level activities.
Provide management support in alignment with the customer-selected Agile development path, methodology, and delivery approach
Identify strengths and weaknesses of the team members and work with each one on improvement areas while offering continual support to each team member's personal and professional development goals
Properly oversee activities on the IT Operations team and be able to keep the projects moving along while maintaining a strict focus on operational continuity
Provide oversight for remote and any required on-site support until the incidents are resolved
Provide a root cause and mitigation analysis post-incident within 24 hours
Prepare and orchestrate customer meetings, submit timely contract deliverables, provide over-arching program quality management
Provide Program Integration support to ensure the establishment and execution of stakeholder engagement processes and models, including analysis, documentation, and management of program level action items, dependencies, risks, and gaps.
Support the identification, as well as the consistent definition, communication, and application of standards, processes, methodologies, and approaches that are common to multiple EPMO programs and/or designated for EPMO-wide adoption or compliance.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
Ten (10) years of professional Project Management Experience
Experience managing a team of IT professionals on multiple projects and concurrent operational support.
Certification Requirements:
PMP AND
CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
Other Requirements:
US Citizenship
Security Clearance Requirements:
Public Trust or the ability to obtain one via Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:
Ability to learn various technologies quickly
Technical minded (in execution) but business focused (in planning)
Focus on precision and detail when performing duties
Willingness to leverage Vendor Support contracts for system changes and troubleshooting
Proficiency in planning, execution and documentation
Go-Getter or Self-Starter; ability to work with light instruction
Willingness to cross-train or mentor team members
Ability to understand the big picture
Ability to shift focus and priorities on a daily basis
Excellent written and verbal communication
Excellent customer service skills
Willingness to participate as a surge resource when needed
Ability to assist team members in improving non-technical skills
Excellent team interaction and communication
Willingness to provide instruction as needed but not micro-manage team members
Ability to: understand the big picture, problem, or goal; create 50% of the solution independently; work with engineers to finalize a plan of action; and participate at an engineering and operational level as needed (i.e., fill gaps in expertise on project)
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands
This position will be performed primarily remotely with the occasional need to meet with Government customers in Washington, DC
Hours of operation are M-F between 0800-1630 ET
Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days
Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer
