ABOUT YOU
As Assistant Director, Aviation Security Operations you are a confident and decisive leader who thrives in high-stakes environments, guiding teams through complex regulatory landscapes with integrity, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to safety. You bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively across agencies and disciplines, while translating policy into clear, actionable strategies. With a sharp eye for detail and a strategic mindset, you navigate evolving challenges with adaptability and discretion, continuously driving improvements that strengthen security operations and ensure the safe and efficient functioning of aviation facilities.

What you will do:
  • Oversee aviation security operations across multiple airports, ensuring compliance with TSA regulations, the Airport Security Program, and federal directives.
  • Lead and support cross-functional coordination with law enforcement, fire rescue, operations teams, and federal agencies to maintain a secure and efficient environment.
  • Manage staff, develop policies, and implement security procedures and audits to improve operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a key liaison and representative in planning meetings, inspections, emergencies, and during the Director's absence, providing leadership and strategic direction.


WHAT YOU OFFER
  • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or related field, or equivalent professional experience, with 10+ years in Homeland or Aviation Security, including 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to pass an airfield driving test, and eligibility for Massport security clearance, Security Badge, and CBP Seal.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervisory or management roles within aviation or homeland security settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of TSA regulations (Parts 1540, 1542, 129, 139) and ICAO standards governing airport security and public safety.
