Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Manager, Risk Governance to join our R&D Quality team located in Raritan, NJ or Titusville, NJ.
Manager, Risk Governance manages the implementation and enhancement of risk governance practices that strengthen compliance, drive data-informed decision-making, and promote a proactive, risk-aware culture. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in risk management, quality, or compliance within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry and a strong interest in developing their leadership skills.

A minimum of a Bachelor's in an appropriate field (Computer Sciences, Data Science/Analytics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related medical/scientific field is required. Advanced degree (Masters, PhD or PharmD) preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare, pharma industry, including risk management, quality, compliance, or related experience is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$100,000-$172,500.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Key Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
- Assist in implementing and maintaining a risk governance framework aligned with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and document risks that may impact R&D quality and compliance.
- Analyze risk-related data to generate insights that inform risk mitigation strategies and support continuous improvement.
- Support the development of risk monitoring processes and key risk indicators (KRIs). Assist in preparing risk assessment reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Partner with R&D, Quality, and Compliance teams and business partners to integrate risk management practices into operational processes and decision-making.
- Assist in developing training materials to build risk awareness and promote a culture of compliance across the organization.
- Support audit and inspection readiness for Quality Governance & Strategy processes
- Point of contact to support Risk Governance document or data requests during internal audits and inspections (ensuring appropriate review and documentation)
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices to support the evolution of risk governance practices.
- Collaborate on specific projects as directed by the Leadership Team of Quality Governance & Strategy
- Support activities as assigned by Senior Director | Head Quality Governance & Strategy
Qualifications:

- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, ICH) and experience in R&D environments
- Experience in digital and data methodology and applications
- Demonstrated ability with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) in designing and maintaining dashboards, etc.
- Knowledge of clinical trials, drug development, quality and compliance regulations and/or Data Science experience
- Foundational analytical skills with experience in data analysis and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced role and interacting with many stakeholders
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with desire to learn
- Interest in developing leadership capabilities and contributing to strategic projects
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proficiency in speaking and writing English
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- GCP quality and/or clinical trials experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated product development
- Experience collaborating in a cross-functional team environment
- Flexibility to respond to changing business needs
