Job Title: Registered Nurse

Must-Have:
- Cardiac Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit/Intensive Care Unit experience
- Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
- Experience with post-cardiac procedural care
Job Description:
- Provide care in a 29-bed cardiac telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:4
- Work closely with a team comprising of a Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and Patient Care Technicians
- Utilize equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, EKG Machines, Bladder Scanner, and more
- Perform procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley insertions
- Administer and titrate IV medications, including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
- Use the Meditech documentation system
- Meet scheduling requirements, including working full-time hours with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- Provide exceptional patient experience by treating every patient with courtesy and respect, responding to call lights, involving patients in shift reports, and ensuring patient needs are met before leaving the room
- Adhere to dress code with required navy blue scrubs or black scrub pants with navy blue top
- Engage in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a family-like atmosphere with tenured and new staff
- Follow floating policy, ensuring competency for any area of assignment
