We develop and manufacture Advanced Polymers and Coating Formulations, both organic and inorganic, for the Semi and Displays industries. This position will be responsible to support planning and conducting hands-on product development under supervision. Applies scientific and engineering skills, creativity, and technical know-how from the literature to help devise solutions to difficult technical problems. Helps create and protect intellectual property for the company. Participates in creating a safe working environment. Communicates with external customers regarding product requirements and development results where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
Designs and conducts hands-on laboratory work with direction from project leads.
Supports all aspects of product development, scale up and transfer of products and processes.
Prepares customer samples to support product marketing and sales activities.
Communicates with commercial managers and sets up effective product demonstrations.
Follows laboratory safety practices and proactively restocks labs with supplies.
Provides/receives training on equipment and processes.
Requests SDS and generates SOP, JSA for new products, processes, and operations.
Participates in Voice of Customer discussions.
Travels to other Honeywell facilities and customer sites as required.

COMPENSATIONThe annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is $124,000.00 - $155,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
2+ years' experience in R & D laboratory working with new materials development with the ability to perform laboratory tasks independently.
1+ years of hands-on experience in design and syntheses of organic and inorganic polymers, development of coating formulations and application processes, advanced filtration technologies and metals purification processes
1+ years experience scaling and transferring laboratory processes to manufacturing.

We Value:
MS degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or Materials Science
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to perform as an individual contributor as well as a cross functional team member.
Hands-on experience in developing coating formulations, wet film coating techniques (e.g., spin, spray, slot-die coating), metals purification, advanced filtration, characterization of thin films and materials.
Knowledge and some experience in semiconductor materials and applications, accelerated aging tests, working knowledge of statistical analysis software, and conducting DOE.

THE BUSINESS UNIT

Mechanical Systems & Components provides a wide range of mechanical products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures air and thermal systems, mechanical components, and wheels and braking systems. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds, an aircraft lands with Honeywell Wheels and brakes. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.
