Job Description Summary
As the Technical Leader of the Aero Parts team of Configuration Management organization, you will lead a team of contingent workers providing direct engineering support on the Aero Parts organization, will drive ownership of the key Aero Parts Engineering processes, will be responsible to the team's KPIs, will provide them support through technical and process related questions, whilst also being engaged in the enhancement projects from GPE impacting the Aero Parts organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • For Recommended Spare Part Lists: drive standard work and continuous improvement in collaboration with the business representatives and other technical experts supporting the Aero business. That includes engagement with Aerospace for core engine recommended spares, and Gas Power business experts for Aero Packaging of the Recommended parts.
  • For ERP integrations (PLM and Echo ERP): Lead the integration efforts between the two systems, acting as a facilitator between the Aero business and the PLM team in GPE, ensuring that the projects are aligned with the business strategy through building bridges among the functions.
  • For Engineering related data maintenance in PLM and Echo ERP: determine which attributes are to be defined in PLM and which are to be done in Echo ERP. Maintain (and in some cases, also create) the work data for the Aero Services scope in the two systems.
  • Support Aero Services Parts organization in issue resolution due to RFI/SDR/General technical questions using readily available data or extending requests to the proper GPE teams.
  • Support Aero Services Parts shipments through Import-Export Classification questions working with third party classification teams.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for the Aero Parts organization on the Externally Managed Parts concept: provide training and guidance for the Aero teams using EMPs, apply the EMP strategy in the new generation of PLM.
  • For ERP/STC PO functionality: Support Sourcing to apply this function of PLM for the Aero business, connect this functionality with other PLM integration processes.
  • Support Echo ERP upgrades and data migration efforts: Make strategic decision on the direction of process and tool improvements. Support the adaption to the change.
  • Budget: Ensure that the team has sufficient funding and monitor the spending profile
  • Representing the Aero Parts engineering team on high-level meetings and Lean events


Required Qualifications
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Configuration Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Pro-active approach to problem solving
  • Detail-oriented and organized team player with strong sense of ownership

  • Strong system skills including with Enovia PLM and Oracle ERP

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a Variable Incentive (VIC) bonus of 15%
