Newmark is seeking a Research Product Manager to assess and define the functional requirements needed to enhance the Research team's ability to report on market trends and provide data-driven support to brokerage teams. This role will focus on gathering requirements, defining needs, and developing a strategic plan for execution rather than direct implementation. The ideal candidate has a background in commercial real estate research, with experience in product management, stakeholder alignment, and technical scoping to evaluate tools, data, and processes that drive effective market analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Discovery & Needs Assessment
- Engage with Research, Brokerage, and Data teams to understand their workflows, challenges, and reporting requirements.
- Identify critical functionalities needed to improve research capabilities, data standardization, and market trend analysis.
- Requirements Gathering & Functional Scoping
- Define and document the data, reporting, and system functionalities necessary for Research teams to provide valuable market insights.
- Assess current tools and processes, identifying key gaps and areas for improvement.
- Develop a framework for data collection, reporting structures, and workflow enhancements.
- Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development
- Outline a phased approach for implementation, prioritizing high-impact initiatives.
- Provide recommendations on technology solutions, data integrations, and process improvements to enhance research capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on scope, feasibility, and execution planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with research analysts, brokers, and data teams to ensure the proposed strategy aligns with business needs.
- Partner with technology teams to evaluate system capabilities and implementation feasibility.
Qualifications
- Commercial real estate research experience, with a strong understanding of market analysis, property data, and reporting structures.
- Product management or business analysis experience, with expertise in defining functional requirements and scoping solutions.
- Strong ability to gather requirements, align stakeholders, and develop a structured execution plan for research and reporting improvements.
- Technical acumen, with familiarity in data structures, analytics tools, and real estate data platforms.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including research analysts, data engineers, brokers, and technology stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations.
