JOB OVERVIEW
This position is responsible to oversee, develop, manage, and document the various process necessary to run an efficient finished vehicle supply chain operation. This position will supervise 2+ full time MBUSA employees and approximately 15 3PL providers. This position is also responsible for developing and overseeing the data analytics to support the efficient operations of the finished vehicle supply chain. Oversee the accessory operations from daily operations, forecasting, vendors, and reporting KPIs from both a process and contractual standpoint. Oversee the transportation quality audits to ensure compliance with MBUSA transportation guidelines and oversee the Gensuite training for entire operations. Oversee the development of all analytical data used to operate the yard in an efficient manner which must be coordinated with the Marshalling Yard Operations Team
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position must map out actual working processes including physical flow and ensure it is properly recorded in VOISv.
Must work with 3rd party service providers to map processes and integrate MBUSA activities.
This position is tasked with continuous improvement - perform process walk-throughs and look for trends in KPI performance to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies:
o Identify root cause of performance deficiency.
o Responsible to work with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions
o Responsible to develop measures and follow-up to assure improved performance
Responsible to perform vehicle quality audits in accordance with the System Level Procedures and Work Instructions.
Determine, create, and maintain ISO/Mega (Accredited Systems) or any other system determined by MBUSA/MBAG to assure that the VMY maintains the standards of Accredited Systems, relay all updates and changes as necessary to the VMY personnel
Responsible to develop, oversee and perform Accredited Systems related self-audits.
o Create, produce, and submit a full audit summary report for each audit undertaken to management with recommendations of corrective actions and responsible to ensure corrective actions are then completed.
Serve as the lead for all Accredited Systems related audits for the VMY.
o Ensure any non-conformities are on the appropriate non-conformities log and corrective actions are assigned to the appropriate party.
o Ensure the appropriate party takes the necessary corrective action assigned.
o Responsible to evaluate and determine corrective actions to ensure root-cause analysis is addressed.
o Conduct follow-up audits to monitor non-conformities and ensure other actions are completed
o Recommend to management appropriate changes as a result of the audits where necessary and ensure approved changes are implemented.
Review VoCA (Voice of Customer Association) corrective actions request from audit findings. Initiate improvement measures to reduce process errors. Develop transparent and understandable findings of deviations and define countermeasures to be put in place to improve underperformance to VoCA team which are communicated to management. Ensure suppliers maintain Accredited Systems quality standards. Evaluate product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
Serve as in-house SME for MBUSA logistics systems
o Act as point to ensure proper utilization
o Work with IT to resolve issues or implement improvements
Responsible to maintain ISO / Accredited Systems training records and serve as the backup to the Transportation Quality Analyst
Coach current best practices and develop cross training plans for its department ensuring all production needs are met daily and for the future. Responsible for adhering to the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures pertaining to - interviewing; hiring recommendations; training requirements; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating and developing team/individual plans for technical and professional skills; recommending rewards and administering disciplinary actions (addressing complaints, resolving problems, recommending terminations). Responsible for identifying and communicating to Vance Marshalling Yard management any Career Development and professional training needs for direct reports. Ensure compliance of ISO9001 standards
Qualifikationen QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (accredited school) and must have 5-7 years of equivalent work experience with emphasis in:
Business Administration
Business Management
Communications
Project Management
Process Improvement, Logistics
Business - General - Proficient Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization. Proficient in analytical, problem solving and organization skills
Automotive-Technical - Proficient knowledge of automotive technical information systems and repair/diagnostic procedures
Business Management - General Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods
Processing - General Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency
Quality Assurance - General Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability
