Your role and responsibilities
Under the authority of the site director, the operations director plans, directs, and coordinates the manufacturing activities of ABB Quebec Measurement Products, procurement, manufacturing engineering, application engineering, and order entry. He/she prepares the strategic and operational plan for his/her department, manages human resources, develops budgets, and ensures rigorous monitoring of the funds allocated to activities under his/her responsibility. Additionally, he/she must develop and implement programs and projects aimed at ensuring efficiency and operational excellence within the department. You will seek to optimize team performance to ensure all requirements are met and customer expectations are exceeded, focusing on quality, safety, continuous improvement culture, meeting delivery deadlines, and respecting budgets. Specific tasks and responsibilities: Ensure the company's operational objectives are met or exceeded while rigorously applying ABB's various policies, particularly in terms of ethics and compliance. Hire, coach, and develop teams. Build an effective, competent, and high-performing organization. Ensure the development of teams in a context of employee engagement and mobilization. Ensure that processes and activities under his/her direction comply with health, safety, and environmental policies and directives. Participate in the development of the company's strategic and growth plan, operationalize this plan in the sectors under his/her responsibility. Continuously improve operational performance by implementing tools and operational excellence programs. Establish operational budget forecasts, provide monthly revenue forecasts, and ensure rigorous monitoring with the various levels of company management. Manage the production planning process to ensure the establishment of an efficient and optimal production schedule while aiming to reduce cycle time when appropriate. Ensure the application of manufacturing standards, quality norms, and work procedures. Disseminate various performance indicators of his/her department and take appropriate actions. Support and guide procurement teams in finding suppliers, negotiating contracts with them, and establishing strategic alliances. Lead daily and weekly meetings with managers and employees under his/her authority. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, engineering, service, and quality teams.

Qualifications for the role
- Excellent leader, possessing strong communication skills, results-oriented, focused on performance and customer satisfaction, able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the ability to make decisions.
- Proven track record demonstrating a solid history in developing and managing engaged teams as well as managing international operations.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in applied sciences or administration.
- Relevant experience of 8 to 10 years in operations management, preferably in the high-tech sector.
- Solid experience in developing high-performing and engaged teams.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement in operations.
- Strong focus on results, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively at all levels of the company.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
- Bilingualism in English and French is essential, with proven skills in oral and written communications. French is required. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec on a regular basis.
