Viskase IT is seeking a Lead SAP Business Analyst with deep functional expertise in Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Plant Maintenance (PM) to support and enhance our global SAP ECC 6.0 landscape. As a senior member of our SAP Center of Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and sustaining SAP processes that power our operations across manufacturing facilities worldwide.

This lead role is responsible for identifying opportunities for business process improvement, leading the development of standardized, scalable solutions, and ensuring strong alignment between business requirements and SAP configuration. You will oversee the full solution lifecycle, from design through implementation, documentation, and user enablement-serving as the bridge between IT and Operations.

You will work closely with plant managers, maintenance supervisors, production planners, and global process owners to ensure that SAP enables effective and efficient execution of processes such as procure-to-pay, inventory and materials management, production execution, maintenance planning, work order processing, and plant reliability.

An understanding of cross-functional integration points-including MM-FI, PP-WM-SD, and PM-MM-CO-s essential to ensure data and transaction integrity across modules. Familiarity with shop floor integration, equipment master data, and IoT/OT systems is highly desirable, as is experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and maintenance reliability platforms.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Collaborate with operations personnel to identify opportunities for business process optimization that can be modeled in SAP or assist in the development of new business processes and associated documentation.
  • Provide support and maintenance for the current SAP system, ensuring its smooth operation and addressing any system-related issues.
  • Work on projects as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP Material Master, ensuring accurate data management and efficient utilization.
  • Develop functional documentation, in conjunction with business partners, to define Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the SAP environment.
  • Contribute to the creation of training documentation and conduct training sessions to educate system users on newly implemented SAP business processes related to Material Management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP with other business systems and platforms.
  • Knowledge of Production Planning and Plant Maintenance modules is highly desirable.

Education and Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree; Information Technology or Computer Science field preferred or equivalent work experience. SAP certifications are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Business Analyst, specializing in the Material Management (MM) module, Production Planning (PP) module, and Plant Maintenance (PM) module.
  • Extensive expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 Hana is required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar industry, preferably with exposure to mid-market global operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Material Master data and its associated processes.
  • Familiarity with Production Planning and Plant Maintenance modules is a significant plus.
  • Proven ability to analyze business requirements, conduct gap analysis, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of engaging co-workers to develop new knowledge and skills in a multicultural context.
  • Ability to work on enhancements, break-fix, and major projects - occasionally at the same time.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment with strong attention to detail, self-motivation, analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Be a service-minded team player who has experience advising business colleagues toward feasible solutions.

Technical Competencies:
  • SAP Functional Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA, with specialization in Materials Management (MM), and working knowledge of Production Planning (PP) and Plant Maintenance (PM)
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Proficiency in understanding and managing integration points between MM-FI, PP-WM-SD, and PM-MM-CO modules
  • Data Management: Mastery in managing SAP Material Master data with high standards of accuracy, governance, and integrity
  • System Configuration & Optimization: Ability to configure SAP modules for optimal performance, including enhancements, customizations, and performance tuning
  • Process Mapping & Reengineering: Skilled in business process analysis, gap assessments, and developing scalable, standardized solutions aligned with operational needs
  • Technical Documentation: Experience in writing functional specifications, test scripts, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • MES and IoT Integration (Preferred): Familiarity with shop floor automation, MES systems, equipment master data, and OT/IoT systems
