Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Category Manager, Fresh Meat on a permanent basis on our Consumer Products team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK. For the right candidate we will consider Calgary AB, Edmonton AB or Winnipeg MB.

The Team: You will work closely with the Operations Team, Retail Operations Advisors, Pricing Specialists, Store Brand Specialists, and the Shelf Management Team. You will have one direct report, and will report into the Senior Manager, Category Development. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, expertise, and results.

What you'll do:
- Conduct category reviews, identify opportunities and manage product assortment to maximize category development.
- Maximize category performance through the introduction of innovative products and programs with a focus on speed to market.
- Develop and implement marketing/promotional opportunities through the central flyer and other marketing initiatives and ensure they are delivering on category strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the supplier community.
- Ensure that the vendor community is providing category expertise to assist in all areas of the category management process including product assortment, marketing, shelf management, and pricing decisions.
- Approximately 10% annual travel is required.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:
- Have 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience.
- Have a bachelor's degree in business or marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Experience in fresh meat is an asset.
