Position Overview
We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) with post-graduate clinical experience, ideally in a primary care setting, to deliver high-quality patient care for children and adolescents. The PNP will provide diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to departmental activities like quality improvement and peer review.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to children and adolescents.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and provide therapeutic interventions according to established practice standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and peer review activities.
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary for further diagnosis or treatment.
  • Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  • Make evidence-based clinical decisions while adhering to quality measures and protocols.
  • Use electronic health records and other computer systems effectively.
  • Coordinate patient care with team members, departments, and external agencies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with completion of an approved nurse practitioner program, specializing in pediatric medicine.
  • Possess or be eligible for the relevant licensure and certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice with a demonstrated ability to provide high-quality clinical care.
  • Skilled in taking medical histories, assessing conditions, and interpreting medical findings.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers, and stakeholders both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Comfortable making evidence-based decisions and complying with departmental and organizational standards.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (preferred but not required).
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
