The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Plays a crucial role in supporting the overall nursing leadership team by overseeing the implementation of evidence-based nursing practices, ensuring quality patient care delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the nursing department. Collaborate with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and administration to develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards that align with regulatory requirements and best practices in healthcare. Through leadership and guidance, contribute to the enhancement of patient outcomes, staff development, and organizational excellence in healthcare delivery.
FT Position available 40 hours, Primarily Days, On-call as required
In partnership with the Director, the Assistant Director (AD) of Adult Critical Care Nursing plays a vital role in supporting unit-based leadership teams to ensure high-quality patient care, foster a healthy work environment, and promote staff engagement and professional growth. The AD collaborates with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and administration to implement evidence-based practices, address operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement within the nursing department. Additionally, the AD is committed to staff development through mentorship, education, and leadership opportunities, creating an environment where nurses feel supported, valued, and empowered. By championing a culture of excellence, collaboration, and well-being, the AD enhances both patient outcomes and the overall nursing experience. The ideal candidate will have five or more years' experience in progressive nursing leadership/management and specialty certification in critical care. Master's degree nursing or related field required with current license or permit to practice professional nursing in New York State.
