Job Summary:
The ETS Proactive Risk Project Manager (PM) will play a pivotal role in driving risk management within the organization. This role involves tracking completed, ongoing, and planned activities to proactively identify and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, a disciplined approach to risk and controls management, and the ability to work independently across multiple teams and departments to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate firmwide initiatives: Work with team leads to ensure the completion of key projects, ensuring milestones are met and deadlines are adhered to. Administrative tasks: Oversee plans, track progress, produce key metrics, escalate concerns, and send deadline reminders. Risk identification and mitigation: Help the team to identify and mitigate key risks across business processes and IT environments. Controls optimization: Assist with the evaluation and configuration of controls to optimize risk management and ensure compliance. Lead working groups: Build and adapt working groups, perform assessments, and evaluate controls, identifying issues and proposing remediation strategies. Stakeholder collaboration: Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, internal control functions, and business units to ensure alignment on objectives and responsibilities. Project management: Develop project plans and deliverable schedules, manage day-to-day engagement operations, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Flexibility and problem-solving: Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs, effectively managing project conflicts and unforeseen issues. Enhance governance functions: Continuously improve risk management processes through data integrations, process definition, improved collaboration, automation, and identifying opportunities for new technology solutions to enhance governance.

Certification in Risk Management or Project Management (e.g., CRISC, PMP, CISM) is preferred.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, FFIEC) would be a plus.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum).
- Proven experience in project management within a risk management or controls environment.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment methodologies, and controls testing across the three lines of defense
- Experience in identifying and evaluating key risks and controls optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead working groups, perform assessments, and drive remediation efforts.
- Experience with governance regulations, including compliance readiness programs and regulatory reporting.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively present and collaborate with internal teams and senior leadership.
- Experience in auditing and responding to audits, particularly in the context of risk management.
- Familiarity with control frameworks, risk management strategies, and third-party risk management.
- Ability to balance project management tasks with unanticipated issues and deliver high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in auditing or responding to audits within a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with gap assessments and proposed remediation strategies across key domains of controls.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management, compliance, and operational processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement of risk management processes.
