-Term Care team. In this role, you will provide general nursing care to residents, contributing to their overall well
-being in accordance with resident care plans, facility policies, and professional standards. This role involves direct supervision of Nursing Assistants to ensure high
-quality care and support.
Responsibilities:
Conduct nursing assessments regarding residents' health status and make nursing diagnoses that guide care strategies.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on nursing assessments and diagnoses, evaluating responses to nursing interventions.
Coordinate and facilitate outside physician visits to address residents' medical needs effectively.
Certifications/
Requirements: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP, ATTNursing Certifications CPI, ENPC, RNFA, TNCC, AWHONN, NIHSS, STABLE, ASLS, NBSTSA, APHON, CMA, CCMA, RMA, C
-EFM
Communicate effectively with physicians and family members to ensure residents' needs are met, while providing education to residents, families, and staff regarding care plans.
Promote and uphold the Choices Philosophy and resident rights within the facility.
Prepare, administer, and accurately document routine and emergency medications and treatments as ordered, demonstrating knowledge of medications and their potential side effects.
Maintain thorough and timely clinical records to ensure continuity and quality of resident care.
Adhere to safety and infection control procedures to create a safe and clean environment for both residents and staff.
Participate in the Quality Management Program as a member of the interdisciplinary team to uphold high standards of care.
Act as the primary contact person on assigned shifts and effectively supervise resident assistants to ensure compliance with established care plans.
Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, including IV initiation, medication administration, and management of central lines and catheters.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
Experience in long
-term care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fast
-paced environment while ensuring compassionate and quality care for residents.
