We are seeking a highly experienced Benefits Manager to lead and optimize our comprehensive U.S. employee benefits programs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Self-Insured Plan Leadership:
    • Strategically manage all aspects of self-insured medical, dental, and vision plans, including stop-loss insurance.
    • Lead claims resolution, vendor management, and implement robust cost containment strategies.
    • Conduct in-depth plan performance analysis and drive recommendations for optimization.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Management:
    • Oversee the administration of all employee benefits programs, including 401(k), FSA, HSA, LSA, disability, life insurance, and accidental death policies.
    • Direct the annual open enrollment process, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
    • Manage vendor relationships, process invoices, and maintain meticulous record-keeping.
    • Expert 401k plan administration, including compliance, audits, and vendor managment.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Strategic Planning:
    • Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Proactively monitor legislative changes and provide strategic guidance to management.
    • Implement and maintain rigorous audit processes.
  • Plan Development & Optimization:
    • Strategically evaluate and recommend new or modified benefit plans to enhance employee satisfaction and optimize costs.
    • Conduct comprehensive competitive benchmarking analysis to maintain market competitiveness.
    • Develop and implement strategic cost control procedures.
  • Employee Communication & Expert Support:
    • Develop and deliver clear, strategic communication materials regarding benefits plans.
    • Provide expert guidance and support to employees and management on complex benefits-related inquiries.
    • Manage and administer employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Vendor & Broker Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with insurance brokers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure efficient plan administration.
    • Lead meetings and provide strategic recommendations on plan design and improvements.
  • Wellness Program Strategic Oversight:
      • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the company's Wellness program.
      • Conduct in depth market analysis to evaluate and improve current benefits offerings.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive benefits management experience, with a strong focus on self-insured plans.
  • Expert-level knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Extensive experience administering 401k plans.
  • Proven expertise in managing self-funded insurance plans, stop-loss insurance, and large employee groups.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CBP, CEBS, or related certifications highly preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex benefits information, policies, procedures, and legal documents.
